CleanSub Terms of Service
Effective date: June 2, 2026
Product: CleanSub iOS application
Operator: Synvoria Tech LLC ("Synvoria," "we," "us," or "our")
Important notices
CleanSub is not a bank, credit union, broker, investment adviser, accountant, law firm, credit repair service, or consumer reporting agency. CleanSub provides personal organization, subscription visibility, cancellation guidance, reminders, and follow-up tools. Information shown in the app is for your personal use and is not financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, credit, or other professional advice.
CleanSub does not automatically cancel subscriptions for you. We may provide merchant information, links, suggested steps, reminders, and tracking tools, but you remain responsible for contacting merchants, platforms, banks, card issuers, and other third parties as needed to cancel, manage, dispute, or verify charges.
CleanSub does not automatically scan your full Apple ID subscription list. Any App Store subscription review feature is a lightweight checklist or user-guided review aid, not an automatic Apple account scan and not the core source of CleanSub subscription detection.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CleanSub mobile application and related services (together, the "Services"). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our CleanSub Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and availability
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use CleanSub. The Services are currently intended for users in the United States. Bank and card scanning features are designed for supported U.S. financial institutions through Plaid.
CleanSub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. What CleanSub does
CleanSub helps users find forgotten recurring bank and card charges, review cancellation steps, receive renewal reminders, and track canceled subscriptions until charges stop. The Services may include:
- Billing Source connection. Premium users may connect supported bank or card accounts through Plaid so CleanSub can review authorized transaction data for recurring charges.
- Recurring charge detection. CleanSub may identify subscription-like charges, show merchant information, and organize detected items by Billing Source.
- Cancellation guidance. CleanSub may show merchant information, links, and suggested steps to help you cancel or manage third-party services.
- Track until confirmed. You may mark a subscription as canceled and ask CleanSub to monitor connected transaction data for follow-on charges.
- Notifications. If you enable notifications, CleanSub may send renewal reminders, cancellation-tracking alerts, and other service-related notices.
- Guided App Store subscription review. CleanSub may include a lightweight checklist or educational prompt to help you review App Store subscriptions manually through Apple-provided settings or interfaces.
We do not guarantee that every subscription, trial, merchant, charge, price change, renewal, or cancellation issue will be detected or labeled correctly. You remain responsible for reviewing official statements, merchant accounts, platform subscription settings, cancellation confirmations, and bank or card activity.
4. Accounts and Sign in with Apple
Certain features require an account. CleanSub uses Sign in with Apple for account creation and authentication. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple Account, device, and email relay settings, and for keeping your account information accurate.
You agree not to access another person's account, connect financial accounts you are not authorized to access, or use the Services for fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
5. Plaid and Billing Sources
CleanSub uses Plaid to let you connect supported banks, cards, and related financial accounts as Billing Sources. When you use Plaid Link, you authorize Plaid and your financial institution to provide information to CleanSub as needed to operate the Services, including account metadata and transaction information. Plaid may present its own disclosures, and your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's Terms of Use and consumer privacy information at https://plaid.com/legal/.
CleanSub does not receive your financial institution login credentials from Plaid. Transaction data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, mislabeled, or changed by your financial institution, Plaid, merchants, or our detection systems. Always use official bank, card, and merchant records for decisions involving money, disputes, or cancellation proof.
6. CleanSub Premium and App Store subscriptions
CleanSub Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store. Available plans, prices, billing periods, introductory offers, promotional offers, free trials, and feature bundles are shown in the app before purchase and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, or as otherwise described by Apple at checkout. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Apple handles App Store billing and refunds according to Apple's policies.
Deleting your CleanSub account does not automatically cancel your CleanSub Premium subscription. To stop future App Store billing, you must cancel the subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.
7. Notifications and electronic communications
We may send service-related, legal, account, security, and operational communications electronically, including by email, in-app notice, or push notification. If you enable push notifications, you can disable them in iOS settings or in the app where settings are available.
8. Analytics and product improvement
We may use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, to understand aggregate usage, improve the Services, diagnose issues, and measure performance. We do not use Plaid financial transaction data for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.
9. Account deletion
You may request account deletion in the app or by contacting us. In-app account deletion begins immediately. We revoke active sessions, remove Plaid access-token material, delete or anonymize user-linked app data, and may retain limited backup, security, legal, tax, billing, or dispute records for up to 30 days or as required by law. Account deletion does not replace any cancellation steps required by Apple, merchants, banks, card issuers, or other third parties.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in violation of law or third-party rights;
- Connect financial accounts or Apple Accounts you do not have permission to use;
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the Services;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app except as allowed by law;
- Use the Services to commit fraud, abuse, harassment, or other harmful conduct.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the Services or other users, or used the Services unlawfully.
11. Intellectual property
The Services, including the app, website, software, design, text, trademarks, logos, and other content, are owned by Synvoria or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own lawful personal use in accordance with these Terms.
12. Third-party services and links
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Apple, Plaid, financial institutions, merchants, support providers, analytics providers, hosting providers, and websites. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, data practices, terms, policies, fees, decisions, or actions.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNVORIA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYNVORIA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOST DATA, GOODWILL, UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, FAILED CANCELLATIONS, OR THIRD-PARTY FEES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID SYNVORIA FOR CLEANSUB PREMIUM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Synvoria and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and licensors from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your connection of accounts you are not authorized to access, except to the extent caused by Synvoria's misconduct.
16. Informal dispute resolution
Before filing a claim, you and Synvoria agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. You may send a written notice to support@synvoria.io with your name, contact information, a description of the dispute, and the relief requested. We will try to respond within 1-2 business days and work in good faith toward a resolution for at least 30 days, unless a shorter period is required by law or urgent relief is needed.
17. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited by law, you and Synvoria agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
18. Apple App Store
If you obtain the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Synvoria, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Services or for maintenance and support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms solely regarding your license of the app from the App Store, and Apple may enforce that beneficiary right. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. government restricted-party list.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on our website or in the app and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
