This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the CleanSub mobile application and related services (the "Services"). It should be read together with our CleanSub Terms of Service. Synvoria's general company website is covered separately by our website Privacy Policy unless we link you here for CleanSub-specific processing.
1. Who we are

2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information we process in connection with CleanSub. Third-party services, including Apple, Plaid, Google, Cloudflare, financial institutions, and merchants, have their own privacy practices. We describe our role and link to key third-party services where helpful.
CleanSub is currently intended for users in the United States. Bank and card scanning features are designed for supported U.S. financial institutions through Plaid.
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you use CleanSub and which features you enable, we may collect or process:
- Account and contact information. If you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address, including an Apple private relay email address. If you contact support, we collect your email address and message content.
- Authentication and session information. We process account identifiers, backend user identifiers, session tokens, refresh-token records, and security metadata needed to authenticate you and protect the Services.
- Purchase and entitlement information. If you purchase CleanSub Premium through the App Store, we receive information needed to verify and manage your entitlement, such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, original transaction identifiers, subscription status, expiration dates, renewal status, and related App Store subscription data. Apple processes your App Store payment method; CleanSub does not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
- Billing Source and financial transaction information. If you connect a bank account or card through Plaid, we may receive account or card metadata, institution information, account type, partial account identifiers, balances if made available, transaction details, merchant information, amounts, dates, categories, recurring transaction patterns, and data derived from those records to detect subscription-like charges and track canceled subscriptions.
- In-app choices and subscription records. We process subscription labels, status, cancellation tracking state, reminder settings, notification preferences, Billing Source filters, merchant guidance interactions, and account deletion requests.
- Device, technical, and diagnostics information. We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, logs, performance information, error information, and diagnostics used to secure, operate, debug, and improve CleanSub.
- Push notification tokens. If you opt in to notifications, Apple provides a device push token that we use to send renewal reminders, cancellation-tracking alerts, and related service notifications.
- Analytics information. We may use Google Analytics in the app and on the website, and Cloudflare Web Analytics on the website, to understand aggregate usage, app and page interactions, device/browser information, approximate region, referral information, and performance trends.
We do not intentionally collect health information, precise location, contacts, photos, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information through CleanSub unless you voluntarily include it in a support message.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve CleanSub;
- Create accounts and authenticate users through Sign in with Apple;
- Verify App Store purchases and manage Premium entitlement;
- Connect Billing Sources through Plaid and detect recurring bank or card charges;
- Display subscriptions, merchant information, cancellation guidance, Billing Source filters, renewal timing, and payment-source details;
- Send renewal reminders, cancellation-tracking alerts, security notices, and service-related messages;
- Track canceled subscriptions until charges stop, including detecting follow-on charges in connected transaction data;
- Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests;
- Analyze aggregate usage, diagnose issues, measure performance, and improve product quality;
- Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Analytics, cookies, and tracking
We may use Google Analytics in the app and on Synvoria web pages, and Cloudflare Web Analytics on Synvoria web pages. These tools help us understand product usage, page performance, traffic sources, device and browser characteristics, approximate geography, and aggregate interaction patterns.
CleanSub does not sell personal information for money. We do not use Plaid financial transaction data for third-party advertising, data broker services, or cross-app advertising tracking. If we add advertising, attribution, or other tracking practices in the future, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or choices required by law or platform rules.
6. Plaid and financial institutions
CleanSub uses Plaid to let you connect supported banks, cards, and related financial accounts. Your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's Terms of Use and consumer privacy information at https://plaid.com/legal/. Plaid may collect information directly from you and your financial institution, and Plaid's collection and use of information is governed by Plaid's disclosures.
CleanSub receives Plaid-powered data only as needed to provide the Billing Source, recurring charge detection, reminder, merchant information, and cancellation-tracking features you enable. CleanSub does not receive your financial institution login credentials from Plaid.
7. How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers that host infrastructure, store data, process analytics, deliver notifications, provide security, help with customer support, or operate other business functions under confidentiality and processing terms;
- Plaid and financial institutions as you authorize when connecting Billing Sources;
- Apple as needed for App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit purchases, subscription management, platform services, and push notifications;
- Google and Cloudflare for analytics, traffic, security, performance, and website infrastructure services;
- Authorities, courts, or third parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.
We may share aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information that does not reasonably identify you.
8. Retention and account deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide CleanSub, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business purposes.
You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting us. In-app account deletion begins immediately. We revoke active sessions, remove Plaid access-token material, delete or anonymize user-linked app data, and may retain limited backup, security, legal, tax, billing, or dispute records for up to 30 days or as required by law.
Disconnecting a Billing Source removes that source from CleanSub and prevents future use of its Plaid access-token material, but it may not delete records that must be retained for security, legal, backup, or dispute purposes. Deleting your CleanSub account does not cancel your CleanSub Premium subscription; you must manage App Store billing in your Apple Account subscription settings.
9. Your choices and rights
- App Store subscription billing. Manage or cancel CleanSub Premium in your Apple Account subscription settings.
- Billing Sources. Manage or disconnect connected Billing Sources in CleanSub. You may also manage Plaid permissions through Plaid or your financial institution where available.
- Notifications. Disable push notifications in iOS settings or in CleanSub settings where available.
- Analytics and cookies. Browser and device settings may allow you to limit cookies, identifiers, or analytics collection. Some settings may affect site or app functionality.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your account information by contacting privacy@synvoria.io.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, port, restrict, object, or opt out of certain processing. We will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law.
10. U.S. state privacy disclosures
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights regarding access, deletion, correction, portability, and opt-out of certain "sales" or "sharing" as defined by law. We do not sell personal information for money and do not use Plaid financial transaction data for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise rights, contact privacy@synvoria.io.
11. International transfers
Synvoria is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including measures to protect Plaid access-token material and account sessions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
CleanSub is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice of material changes.
